Our teams are experienced with NYC spaces as small as 350 sq ft. We use compact equipment, work in a systematic room-by-room sequence, and are trained to clean efficiently without cluttering your space. We've completed over 5,100 cleans in Chelsea alone — many of them studios and one-bedrooms.
Do I need to be home during my apartment cleaning?
No. Most of our NYC clients leave a key, provide a door code, or arrange access through their doorman or building super. All Maid Marines cleaners are W-2 employees with full background checks, bonded and insured — so you can leave us access with confidence.
Can you clean apartments in walk-up buildings with no elevator?
Absolutely. Our teams regularly clean in 4th, 5th, and 6th floor walk-ups across the East Village, West Village, and Upper East Side. We carry our own supplies and equipment up the stairs — no elevator needed.
How long does an apartment cleaning take?
About 2 hours for a studio, 2½ hours for a 1-bedroom and 3 hours for a 2-bedroom with one bathroom. Your booking shows the estimated cleaning time before you book, and bigger homes may get more than one cleaner.
